Quod oculus meus videt

Headed into Birmingham this morning to attend an interview for a volunteering role at next year's Commonwealth Games.  The 'experience lasted 90 minutes and included an exhibition, short film, measurement for uniform and an interview.  I won't know if I've been successful until February 2022.

Centenary Square is in a state of transition as the skating rink and Ferris wheel are being constructed for Christmas festivities.  Walking around Birmingham the whole city seems to be in upheaval with road works, new buildings being erected and repairs to the 'floosie in the Jacuzzi'.  I came away relatively quickly, I just don't enjoy being in built up areas like this.  There are more empty shops and you have to wonder what is going to happen to our urban centres now shopping habits have been changed by the last year and a half.
