Quod oculus meus videt

Replacements

Our front lawn did not fair well this summer, leaving large areas of bare patches where the grass had died back.  Although it was late, I needed to do something about it and so grass seed was sown in mid September in the hope that it would germinate and grow.

Last week I noticed the first shoots of new growth and today I got a first cut of the burgeoning blades of grass that have turned that bare area green again.  It may well be the last cut of the year, but at least we have some hope of lawn looking whole for next spring.
