This area at the Boat Shore in Cockenzie was once used by fishermen to store their boats before launching them into the little natural harbour known then as Kenneth’s Cove and where the fishwives would sell fish.  It then became a derelict area until recently when the local community restored and painted two old boats and filled them with plants making it a reminder of the fishing heritage and providing an attractive corner on the path between Cockenzie and Port Seton harbours.
