A familiar scene

This morning we took Violet to school, which was uneventful journey wise, and at lunch time drove to meet our friends A and B for lunch.  The lunch was delicious and it was lovely to catch up but driving there and back we came across a now familiar scene: road works and temporary lights, which seem to pop up with monotonous regularity in this area.  Some of the 'planned works' involve not just lights but road closures and several of these have gone over their scheduled finish dates by months.  Looking closely, I can see in the foreground another familiar sight...a pothole, but I'll leave that topic for another day!
In other news: Mr MC received his Covid-19 booster vaccination today and said that he received excellent service at a local pharmacy.  I'm anticipating my invitation around November.  Happy days!
