Mono Monday Challenge: 20th Century Inventions

King C Gillette once met William Painter, the inventor of the 'Crown Cork' bottle top, who gave him some wise advice; if you are going to invent something, make it something people will buy over and again; that way you will continue to make money from it.   Gillette thought about this for some years and eventually, on 15th November 1904, he filed Patent No. 775,134 for a safety razor.  It soon caught on and made Gillette a fortune; the simplicity of a disposable blade with the added safety provided by the holder.

An interesting set of challenges from Laurie54 this month for Mono Monday.
