Visitors

Early this morning, I was still in my pyjamas, we had several birds in our garden. Most of them were sparrows.
But at first we spotted a great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) in one of the trees. See the extra.
And then we were visited by an European green woodpecker (Picus viridis). It sat on the earth looking for food. Yesterday we had removed the turf, so a lot of tasty animals were easy to get. Quite a feast for the woodpecker.

PS: due to my dress the pictures were taking through a double pane window, hence not perfect.
