The Long And Short Of It

What caught my eye was the seemingly impossible length of the branches reflected in the still water surface. The sun was catching them so they stood out in the murkiness. I composed the shot so the branches take up most of the image and I held onto the taller 3:2 aspect ratio to emphasize their reach.

Putting the log, being the source of the reflection, right at the top of the frame appears to aid in the conspiracy of the illusion. My eye goes there last and finds it a surprise.
