A Pheasant Encounter

Apologies for not blipping yesterday and for brief or non-existent comments. Circumstances got the better of me.

We went to Liverpool to see Matthew Bourne’s Midnight Bell, calling first at Burton Mere RSPB where a break in the clouds meant a walk was possible. Not only that, but miraculously the sun appeared for a moment making my encounter with this pheasant all the more special. Not the rarest of birds, nonetheless I seldom see one - particularly this close. Totally nonchalant, he seemed happy to pose while picking at the grass and seeds.

So here’s my back-blip, together with a couple of extras.
