Textured landscape

Most of today is spent with G’s mum. There’s an optician’s appointment and a FaceTime call with the daughters of a friendship dating back to G’s father’s time in the Netherlands at the end of WW2. She is now the only survivor of the original friendship, so while the call brings back many happy memories it’s also quite emotional.

So by the time we leave there are limited opportunities for photographs. Thankfully, the heavy skies of earlier have lifted, so the foothills of Snowdonia are bathed in late afternoon light and topped with fluffy cloud, and a brief detour from the A55 provides a chance to capture a few views. It’s a landscape full of texture - grass, woods, fences, rocks, dry stone walls - though I’m unsure whether there’s enough focus on this to fit today’s Wide Wednesday challenge!
