A procession of clergy

Blips will be church based over the next couple of days, as the pace hots up in our observance of Holy Week & Easter. Today is Maundy Thursday, and clergy traditionally join their Bishop in the Cathedral for a special service in which we renew our Ordination promises and oil is blessed for use throughout the year. Here we are queuing up to go into the service, having robed up just across a fairly busy road. The were about 150 of us, so Colmore Row came to halt for quite a few minutes! O yes, and we're being blessed by Bishop Charles Gore, the first Bishop of Birmingham.

Service in church tonight, followed by a vigil until 11pm.
