Flooded fields

Its been a lovely sunny day although a fairly cold wind.  We took our grandson out this morning for a walk to the beach and the playground.  We were most surprised to see how flooded the local cricket club was with water up to the roof.  As we left via a different road we found we couldn't walk either to the left or right as the roads were also flooded.  Fortunately there is a small passageway opposite that we took instead.  The heavy rain overnight and high tides are probably to blame.

In the afternoon my sister and I took our grandson out for a walk along Exmouth promenade where he visited his favourite flags and clock tower.   We also noticed that flood barriers had been used in areas there.
