Binge

My day has been largely consumed by a guided food tour in the company of 10 others plus Alex the guide. 3 English, 6 from the USA and a Brazilian.

Billed as 3 hours over lunchtime, somehow it became 5 hours of eating & drinking, spread around 5 different locations. It was fantastic. A great way to learn about local food. And wine…

The Blip is our early afternoon stop. On my plate is a bifana - spiced pork slices in a roll. Also on the table is papas de sarrabulho (blood soup), chicken gizzards, and some kind of local rose wine made into a sangria type drink. I forget the name.

No dinner tonight.
