The second half of life..

By twigs

Wild and woolly

....that's what I love about driving over some of our alpine passes........feeling close to so many mountains clad in dense native bush that must surely never yet have been felt the foot of man.  I find that thought bizarrely focusing.......that there are still places on the planet that are exactly as they were created or have developed over millions of years gives a real sense of how miniscule [our] life is.  To add to this feeling were the trees draped in oodles of Spanish Moss (whose name suggests anything but 'ancient', but suggests, rather, imported!) (see extra).

Yes - the drive from Hurunui over the Lewis Pass and back home was a pleasant one indeed.  And of course, Minnie was happy to see me when I did arrive home early evening :)
