Inn

..need of a rest and some refreshment, post The Wallace Collection, I chanced upon very agreeable proper old London pub (1720) on a corner of Marylebone High Street yesterday. The glory of the beautiful windows wasn't that apparent from the outside of the "Angel in the fields".

Owned by a familiar Yorkshire brewer, Samuel Smith's, I enjoyed a couple of half pints at a Yorkshire price (ie cheap). At £2.35 a half pint, a big contrast to the many surrounding establishments used by the many locals dripping in wealth including many looking Russian and Arabian, no surprise. tbc..

Family History?
Very fateful too that I glanced at a park bench plaque dedicated to a someone with the name of The History Man's family; also the subject of his recent historical book. Looking forward to his response.

Rugby & Wellbeing
Extremely tired from yesterday and a royal visit this morning from The King, I was very glad I woke up in time to make the second half of the senior 1st team home match debut of two of our sons team mates of 12 years.

In addition I had a long and productive chat with a concerned junior team parent who approached me about one of his son's team mates. They had been nurturing and encouraging him for a few years, but now  warranted more support, including the high risk of injury to himself and others.

Son
Had his first go at sewing a sutra yesterday. and thinks he's come across some fellow dental students he'd enjoy living with next year.
