A nice pear

Angus and I spend most of the day working on his trailer conversion. We’re a hinge short, so knock off mid-afternoon, just after Nick returns from his trip through Ardfern, Ardnamurchan, Mull & Iona.

We gather pears from the orchard and I pass them through the masher and press. The five gallon bucket is filled. This is a good year for fruit juice. And hence alcohol!

We take the juicing kit back to Ivan’s and sample his home brew. Then, after a quick tea of veggie haggis fritters and leftover venison stew, I head over the hill to Bill’s for a Saturday night social.

It’s raining when I get back. The chicks will need to wait another day until I merge them with the hens.
