Saturday: Postponement

The weekend hasn’t panned out quite the way we had anticipated.  We’d booked a night in Victoria and were flying over on the seaplane.  There is, however, a severe weather warning on for this weekend and, as the check-in personnel told us, a strong likelihood that seaplanes will be grounded tomorrow.  We can’t really afford to get stuck so, even though we’d just checked in to the flight, we decided it was too risky to go.  Long story short - case retrieved, hotel and flight postponed and all good.

So we had an unexpected weekend at home.  We had noodles for lunch and picked up a few fresh hop IPA beers for this evenimg.  Fresh hop is a limited season so has to be enjoyed while it can.

This was the view from our aborted flight.  It’s also such a poignant view - I took this shot in 2013 when we had absolutely no inkling that we would ever end up living here.  The twists and turns…….
