Life through the lens...

By ValC

Garden flowers.

Firstly Mr C would like to thank you all for the very kind wishes for his birthday yesterday.
He had a lovely day enjoyed his evening meal, and the icing on the cake was a phone call from our eldest son to tell him all about the Leeds United match. They only managed a draw, but apparently played extremely well, and especially young Joe Gelhardt. Only 19 years old.

A lazy day today for us both.
A long phone call with our friends in France.
Unfortunately G. has Covid, and hasn’t been too good.
However K. said their new neighbours have been so kind and helpful. Both French and English.
Then another phone call from our youngest granddaughter. She unfortunately has flu, and so isn’t feeling too good at the moment.
Hope they both recover very soon.

Enjoyed watching Landward this morning.
( BBC 2. 9.30am)
One of our favourite programmes.
( even if sometimes we could do with subtitles)
Anyone interested in climate change should watch today’s episode.
Certainly much more enjoyable and down to earth than Country File.

Today’s Blip is a selection of plants still flowering in our garden. I wonder for how much longer though.
