Only a scone

It was too late to take a wider shot, so I contented my self with these excellent scones, wholemeal and delicious.

We were invited, at short notice, for tea at a home just down the village.   The house has very recently been completed and is virtually a "passive house" with south-facing sloped roof, thick insulation, heat pump to underfloor heating (a few radiators upstairs) and ducted ventilation to allow the windows to remain closed and airtight.

Our hosts are graphic designers and the other guest was a former actress called Nadia, a beautiful lady whose photo I didn't dare to ask for.  Oh well, next time, perhaps.
