Drink a pinta milka day

Those of you who grew up in the UK in the 60's and 70's might remember this jingle that cheerily implored us to consume plentiful quantities of the beautiful white liquid. I can't be sure whether it was the advert or Nanna's home baked creamy rice pudding or free school milk or school dinners that included sago, tapioca or rice pudding or the errand Tricia and I went on when I was about 4, across the fields to the farm to get the milk urn filled up or being introduced to Ski yoghurts or one of a number of other memories from the recesses of my mind that spring forward when I think milk. Whatever the reason, the result is that I couldn't live without plentiful supplies of the beautiful white liquid. Realising late this afternoon that I was almost out I had to make a brisk trip to the farm to fill up. Whew! Mornings without my latte are like a night without sleep! Here's to whoever invented milk vending machines and glass bottles........ Thank you :D
