Morning Is Broken

I couldn't see more than 30 meters this morning - the fog was really thick and this was all I could see of the sun on the way down to the supermarket & bakery this morning.

I had a close escape at the supermarket.  Most of you know that we have a system of returning bottles and drink cans to the supermarket - you get money back on them.  Most people buy things by the crate and that goes relatively quickly, but every so often you find yourself behind someone who has turned up with 2 bin bags full of empties and these have be to be fed in one at a time. And usually the person doing the feeding will attempt to feed any rejected bottle at least three times.  It takes a quite a while is what I mean.

I took 4 bottles back to the supermarket (worth a whole 32 cents).  The woman who was just finishing up in front of me (2 empty bin bags in her trolley) had just fed in 21 Euro worth of empties.  I'm glad I didn't go earlier.

The sun did come out this afternoon but it's that rubbish winter one without any heat in it.
