Mono Monday inventions

For the last Monday of the month, Laurie54 invited us to choose any invention.
I had a good search on inventions by women, just because I could and came up with the dishwasher.
It’s always a standing joke in my house that I empty the flipping thing about 5 minutes before husband is due home, so it makes him think I am being organised and tidy :-)
In reality it only takes a few minutes, it’s just one of those things I never seem to get round to.
Anyway, thank you to Laurie54 for hosting this month, it’s been a great set of subjects.
The dishwasher - although there were prototypes, it seems a lady called Josephine Cochran actually invented the modern dishwasher that cleans the dishes with water pressure. 1872.
