Bird watching

Scotland trip day 27 Berwick upon Tweed.

Our last day of our amazing trip and what better place to spend it but the wonderful walled town of Berwick, teetering on the border of England and Scotland, with its cobbles, castles, and beaches. Lots to explore.

We wander along the Elizabethan Town Wall and visit the Berwick Barracks before walking along the pier to the lighthouse, where we spot various birds, - swans, eider ducks, curlew, redshank and a cormorant.

We built up an appetite and went for lunch ( not the best food this trip).

We leave Berwick and head back towards Holy Island, yesterday we saw some egrets just off the causeway but sadly none today. We did see some curlews and I took the opportunity to set up the tripod and use my new lens.

Sadly all good things have to come to an end as we head home tomorrow.

Thank you all for your lovely comments, stars and hearts over the last four weeks. When I get through the mountain of washing - I will catch up with you again.
