Burghley House Sculpture Garden

This snail is as tall as little Miss B who described it as "a big mummy snail, with a pan and whiskers". Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings ...

There were loads of lovely sculptures including (see Extras) "the biggest stones in the world" and (triptych) a mouse tower and a sun on a plinth. In the middle picture in the distance, the orange blob is little Miss Pumpkin with her mum. She certainly wasn't the only little one dressed up and looking for spooky sights amongst and between the sculptures. Fabulous weather again. So nice for children and teachers in half-term week, too!
