Rainy and Cold!

It was the ladies club closing day today - we have a very active group of about 70 women who golf every Tuesday at our local golf club. It was rainy and blustery this morning, but my dear buddy Lisa talked me into playing anyway. And actually much of the morning was quite dry, very cloudy and windy...so much so that we couldn't put up our umbrellas. It probably would have been wise to take a cart. Oh well, many steps today! We had a grand time, the four of us, playing a scramble. Followed by a lovely luncheon and a general meeting of the club where yours truly and friend Lisa were voted in on the 2022 board as co-president's elect...that is vice presidents. It should be grand fun.

Here's another leaf picture with one precious tiny rain drop. I'll save the dahlias until it's evident that there will be no more. This is Acer palmatum 'Sangu Kaku' or Coral Bark Japanese Maple. It grows in my back garden and the bark is truly astonishing in the winter....it is indeed coral!  This wind and rain are knocking the leaves off the trees. Funny how much more of the neighbor's yard I can see now!
