Gluttony

There were dire predictions on my phone of travel disruption due to heavy rainfall today but so far nothing out of the usual has come to pass. From 1 pm there has been drizzle and it’s depressingly dark but the Merry Widows and I couldn’t have cared less when we met for lunch at the Black Ivy.

Rather than lunch, I had a vegetarian ‘brunch’ will also do as a replacement supper given the contents. It was all the more delicious since I can’t remember when Iast had a cooked all day breakfast.

One of our number had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, putting me in mind of this tiered fungus I blipped below a willow tree in the Meadows.
