Hairdoasaurus

Gaming guests introduced us to a new 'flip & write' game Demeter.  Not entirely sure why we were surveying dinosaurs on a moon but, like, why not.  

Not the speediest of play so the temptation to doodle was .. tempting.

Steve the carver is with us this evening so a trip to the pub was in order. Pleasantly surprised that he asked to play a game when we came back so we got out Azul, being reasonably swift to teach.  Proving to be a bit of a dark horse, he clocked up a very respectable score for a first play.  We'll have to watch him if ever we game before beer :o)

"Flip / Roll / etc & Write" games are where everyone has a printed sheet of paper and chooses to mark off something in reaction to either a dice roll, or a card turn (flip), or similar semi-random event.  There won't be enough events to cross off everything you'd like to, so the game is in picking the most point-scoring selection.
