57 days to go

It rained heavily all night, battering the Velux and then drizzled most of the day to be replaced by thick mist. I slept very well and enjoyed a quiet pool.

Then hours and hours of meetings, during which I watched the rain and multi tasked. At least the water butt will be filling. Every cloud.....

Later I changed into the glad rags and set off to meet R, house-sitter #1, here on a holiday, not from Canada bit Limerick.

Getting there was the bus journey from hell, an hour to do 4 miles. It started off badly with a delay as some built tried to turn right at the bottom of Liberton Brae, then ever red light followed by gridlock from Chambers St to London Rd, a combination of the refurb of North Bridge and the Leith Walk tramworks. I made it 20 minutes late.

Lovely meal and catch up with R them a quicker journey home though closure of North Bridge for overnight working meant a magical diversion via Princes St, George St, Hanover St and The Mound.

Guess what I saw? Oh and The Dome is also all lit up. Too early for 'Bah humbug'?
