Eckington Bridge

Sandstone was a very common building material in Worcestershire and Eckington Bridge is typical of so many although it is showing its age these days.  We were surprised that it has no weight limit on it although it is single file traffic light controlled traffic over the bridge.  It spans the river Avon  in the Pershore/Evesham area. The river was much quieter than I expected it to be this morning.

We had gone to Pershore to see where the community hospital was in Pershore and to drop a couple of things off for Dad.  I wasn't able to see him of course and the nurse I passed the things on to didn't know how Dad was getting on.  I will phone tomorrow.  It looked quite cosy and modern in the small hospital area of a bigger building.
