Earlybird

Early in the morning and in the eve at dusk the elderly walk in the streets here on Crete; that is both in the villages and in town, here in Chania. 
For sure there are elderly during daytime too in the streets of Chania, but truely less than early in the morning or late in the day. 

Black is the dress code for all who mourn, be it their spouse or one of their children or another next of kin. And thus it can be for years that women (and men) are dressed in black, like she is here.

It was her early shopping bread and cheese at the local mini market.
