Oops, they don't meet!!

For those who are riveted by the saga of the Burradoo pipes, I thought it was time for an update. I first reported this major project on 30 July 2021. Since then progress appears to have been made along about 100 metres of road.
 
I noticed this morning evidence of what might have been a dispiriting moment for the workers. Manoeuvring these huge pipes through a tunnel they have excavated must be a complex and challenging task. Imagine how they must feel when the pipes don’t meet as they should. Now, I am making all of this up, of course. This outcome may well have been intentional. I wonder.
