Toadstalls on the lawn

Heavy rain and high winds early this morning. Heavy rain and high winds this evening. In between there was a sunny period when we were able to enjoy a walk across the fields to Castle Dam. On route we saw what looked like a white heron flying over head. An egret would be very unusual in these parts.
Stanley has been struggling with the change of the clocks wanting his meals according to BST and not an hour later. We seem to be having a problematic period with some electrical fittings. First the solar panels have stopped working (an electrician is coming tomorrow to carry out a series of tests) and then today the remote controls for the Velux windows have stopped working and there is no easy way to operate them manually. To add to the frustration, is the wasted afternoon of trying unsuccessfully to get the remotes to reconnect.
Nature has its own way of offering surprises like the large number of fungi that have appeared on the lawn.
