Old Kings Lane

This pathway, leading into the sunshine, used to be a road.  It has become a nature corridor given over to the wild whilst the traffic thunders close by on the A46.  I love walking along there when I visit The Farm, there's always something to see, if not the goats, cattle and donkeys from the farm there are the berries and fungi that grow along the sides.

There is a notice at the gated start of the lane.  This states that the byway is a permissive right of way and as such stipulates that use is available on everyday except Christmas Day, when, presumably, it is reserved for Father Christmas to take his sleigh down there!
