Life in the slow lane.

We went to Aldi first, and then on to Sainsbury's. Years ago, when we were both working, I did the food shop in one supermarket, but now that we have more time, we can shop around. I'm not sure we save any money but  it's nice to have a choice. Took this on the way home. a short cut only know by locals. You can just see the old stone bridge. My Dad went swimming in the river underneath that bridge when he was a young boy, and he said the river was black with coal dust, and you would often see dead sheep floating past. It obviously didn't do him any harm, but how times have changed.
