Sudden sunset

This appeared so suddenly and unexpectedly that I didn’t have time to go anywhere to see it better, so this was a quick mobile phone shot from the window. It seemed to last only about four minutes. The horizon looks wonky but it’s a hill!

There are lots of firework noises happening outside now. I wish it was only for the one night, like in ‘the olden days’. But I bet it will go on for several more nights. It’s not fair on wildlife and domestic pets.

I wonder what effect fireworks have on climate change?
