Yesterday evening I realised how low our food stocks were so decided on a trip to Sainsbury’s in Kendal today. Most of my in store shopping since the first lockdown has been in Ambleside and Windermere. I had a list but didn’t stick to it, spotting things I wouldn’t have thought of if I’d been on their website. 

I’m still in shock at the bill ………. and I only bought one bottle of wine. 

I didn’t get the chance to go for a walk in the afternoon so at dusk I ventured into the garden, picked a few flowers (and ex flowers), then illuminated them inside with an Ikea desk lamp. I’m sure other brands would give a similar effect. This Echinops (which I would normally have cut back by this time of year) was my pick for the blip.
