Magnificent Mount's Bay

Today we were taken by coach to Mullion on the Lizard, from  where we walked northwards along the Coast Path around  Mount's Bay.
First we passed the monument to Marconi above Poldhu Cove, as it was here he sent his first wireless message across the Atlantic. We continued to Church Cove where we visited the little Medieval Church of St Winwaloe, also known as  the  Church of the Storms as it is situated on the sand.
We had lunch on the beach in Fishing Cove, Gunwalloe. (See first extra) before climbing up to the Coast Path again and walking on in glorious, warm sunshine to Loe bar. (see main). Here there is a sand & pebble bar between the sea and freshwater Loe Pool. We turned inland to follow the north side of the lake, all the way to Helston. The second extra shows a  tranquil scene looking across Loe Pool.
It was a wonderful 8.5 mile walk to finish our holiday here.
