Nakashima Barn and Centennial Trail

Busy day today filled with visits and wandering. We hiked/scooted part of the Centennial Trail near Arlington Washington, beginning at this interesting park. You can read the history of the Nakashima family, who owned the land and barn until they were interned under Executive Order 9066 in 1942.

I was hoping to write more about it tonight, but I'm knackered. Here's another photo of the barn; they've put up historical photos of the family and the dairy farm. And here's one of Laurie, her brother Richard and sister-in-law Pam, with Lucy. This photo gives you an idea of the lovely day we had.
