Infamy and Shame!

Very near our house is this corner dwelling, to which in 2003 a brick extension was added alongside. This is actually a garage housing a vintage Rolls-Royce (probably 1920s), which is seen out on sprees now and then.
Set in the structure between two empty niches is this plaque, which is beginning to weather, so I thought I'd better blip it before some of the lettering becomes illegible. It reads:
"TO the WAYS of the BRITISH NATION betrayed, denied, and forgotten, cast into OBLIVION as if they never were this year of shame and infamy TWENTY HUNDRED & THREE"

I wonder whose statues should go in the niches!

Happy Easter!
