Tree blankets

Not every day that you clothe trees in made-to-measure suits! In the Linda Vista gardens, three trees and one tree-trunk carved into a large throne were clad in knitted and crocheted squares this morning; the local Tenovus choir sang, the Mayor attended, a story teller told a story sitting on the throne, lots of people turned up to see, the sun shone, the lark was on the wing, the snail on the thorn, and all was right with the world! Even a solitary hang-glider sailed overhead.
