Stoking the fires of hell

A KESR members’ and volunteers’ bonfire and fireworks night at Tenterden Town Station this evening. A low key but very pleasant event with a proper bonfire to stand around whilst watching the fireworks. A cask of beer and a barbecue completed the evening.

Earlier, the house renovations continued apace. A visit to the tip and to the charity shop were on my job sheet today while the others continued to sort and decide the fate of more items. David meanwhile, installed the replacement undamaged cooker that was delivered this morning.

I was surprised to find that I had to pay at the tip for an old sink to go to be hardcore. Makes you wonder why? It was domestic waste. I can see a reason if it was commercial waste. Little wonder that some people would choose to fly tip rather than take it to the dump.
