BANYON TREE

Believe it or not, this is just one tree. A single banyon tree has been known to cover an area equal to that of a football pitch....an acre (.4 hectare) or more.

The branches produce aerial roots that hang down, touch the ground (eventually) and take root giving rise to a new tree trunk.

This is the equivalent of Tarzan's housing complex. This tree just begs to have a tree house in there somewhere. Any kid worth his salt would see this as a tree climbers nirvana.
