Nature Wander

Today my granddaughter and I joined the Southern Maryland Sierra Club on a nature wander in Salem State Forest in California. The naturalist was wonderful! She was so informative and interesting. I learned much about oaks and ground plants. Her daughter brought her coloring box and paper so we could do rubbings of some of the textures on the trail. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
The extra is of my granddaughter with Bert. She seems to have a special friendship with him.
