Tiny spider on an onion weed flower

In the gloom of this morning's weather there was not an arthropod to be seen so I decided to photograph the onion weed in case the garden yielded nothing further for TT. Anyone familiar with this pest will know that the flowers are tiny, about one centimetre in diameter when fully open. So imagine my surprise when I took the photo off the camera and saw the spider. It is truly tiny, little more than a speck and not noticeable to my naked eye. Then there was the further surprise of the even tinier black insect on the flower on the left.

This really is camera as microscope. What a joy.

Thanks for hosting Greg.
