Heron

Back Blip - back-filling in a couple of blank days in my journal from October

A Ramblers walk, maybe splash would be a better term, from Kirkintilloch to Clachan of Campsie along the Strathkelvin Railway Path. It was wet. It was miserable. Unlike ourselves, of course, as we cheerily sang and whistled happy and merry tunes along our route. Aye right!

This heron by the Glazert Water must have thought we were mad. Or perhaps he/she was too busy looking for unsuspecting fish.

Most of the group caught the first bus (maybe even the First Bus!) back to the car park in Kirkintilloch at journey's end, although a few of us hit the rather excellent coffee shop in Clachan and dried out a bit over our soup and sandwich lunch before catching a later bus back.

It was during that return journey that my phone went 'ping' with a text from NHS Test & Protect. Ho hum! It was that kind of day.
