New Lamb

The new lamb shivers,
And looks out at the cold world,
While mother watches.

I was photographing the mother sheep with her other lamb, when this little one poked his head from behind the tree. He was sheltering in the hollow made by the roots. He just didn't seem to have enough fleece to keep him warm, but was obviously inquisitive about the world.

It seems they are born with the ability to stare ....

A bit less rude than yesterdays bunnies.
