REMEMBRANCE DAY

When I was younger, Remembrance Day was always held on November 11, but gradually – for the sake of convenience and to avoid 'unnecessary' disruption – the celebration has moved to the Sunday closest to November 11.
As a child I remember accompanying my 'sister' on a day trip to London, and just as we emerged from the Tube Station, everything stopped!
Cars, taxis, buses, pedestrians – everything came to a complete standstill!
Now THAT was a remembrance worthy of the name…
