The field of Remembrance - QARNNS

Saw the little Remembrance service at Waterloo station at 11am with 2 minutes silence in the station which was nice. ( see extra) Wreaths were laid by representatives of SWT, Network Rail and the Police. Later in the day I went to the Field of Remembrance outside Westminster Abbey. This is the section for the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Navy Nursing Service which my mother in law served in during the war. It was already dark by 4.30pm but there were quite a few floodlights …see extra of Westminster Abbey.

I also did a river cruise with a friend using a voucher I had had for a while . Hardly anyone on the boat as we went from Westminster to Greenwich and back. A nice sunny day fortunately. See other extra.
