Floodlit

The church tower is lit up at night, I presume so passers by can tell the time.

During the day I was photographer for the unveiling of a plaque on the cricket pavilion which was built to commemorate those who returned from the wars. Most memorials are for those that died, so this is something of a rarity. Fortunately the sun was out to help the occasion go well with the local MP performing the ceremonial part. A small local event but significant.

I nipped down later for the second half of the bellringing practice to help out. We miss the pub that's opposite but been closed for a while. Bellringers have a tradition of going to the pub! No one knows if it will ever open again.
