Forth

We went on a trip round the Forth with a bunch of D's old Inchcolm buddies, on the Conserver and the Girl Gray. We went first to Inchkeith and had to run a gauntlet of angry seal mums who had positioned themselves on the path leading up from the harbour (extra). One of them later went off for a swim, so we were able to admire her pup (extra 2). The beach was rather crowded (extra 3). We went up to the lighthouse and then rejoined the boat for hot pies and sausage rolls provided by Bill.

And thence to Inchcolm (extra 4), where the old gang ambled about happily. The weather was glorious. On the way back to Granton I saw a porpoise surface a couple of times - too quick to be blipped though! We had fabulous views of the Edinburgh skyline (extra 5), although a regrettable additon has been made to it (glistening in the middle of extra 6).

The main blip is the Girl Gray's wake with the Oxcar light in the distance.

We got the bus back to Leith and were pleasantly surprised to make it to the market 15 min before it closed and purchase a couple of pies from the estimable Dolly.
