Sound House: Dean Owens and Arthur Nicolson

I sat next to Douglas Ferguson at a dinner and found out about his project Sound House. He hosts live music in his living room, albeit it a rather large living room, in Royal Park Terrace. He loves live music and invites a wide range of talented and well known musicians to not only play, but often stay with him. Guests bring along their own refreshments and donate around a tenner towards the musicians. Whereas Douglas provides the seating, space and ambiance completely free. Tonight was the amazing Dean Owens supported by Arthur Nicolson. In the backdrop of Holyrood Park he told the anicdote of Arthur coming to gig for one song originally and he had a stool set aside for him. However, Arthur continued to play for the rest of the set and did not sit on Arthur's seat!

Douglas's altriusm is being somewhat thwarted by the council (or councillors) who are trying to shut him down as they received just ONE complaint after 4 years. Join his campaign to hit back at the big guys and support his refreshing gift to all of us, by providing wonderful music in a fantastic small venue. I have included the link here for you to find out more and join the petition
